Camille Harding is (was?) the daughter of an ex-special forces and a do-nothing jody. Her father gained custody in the divorce when her mother was caught abusing prescription meds. Now, her father had always wanted a son, but what're ya gonna do? He taught her how to survive, special forces style. She learned how to camp, how to shoot a gun, how to avoid pursuit in both urban and outdoor environments, how to sneak up on anyone, and how to beat stressing out over tests in school. He even encouraged her to pursue her dreams when she came home from a career fair holding a pamphlet about falconry.
A few years ago, the two of them were out hunting in Idaho when suddenly, the night was lit up by a bright light and a UFO abducted her father. Camille didn't think too much of his stories about aliens, but this was a real deal flying saucer pulling him into the sky with a beam of light. Now, armed with an angry raptor, her dad's old "service rifle", and a cell phone with twitter, Camille is searching for answers.
Turns out answers cost a lot of money.
