Background

+ Firewall Dossier

Casey Luna, (originally Katherine Columbus Carpenter) is one of the oldest transhumans still alive, and possibly the one with most extensive combat experience (see file). Assigned to the rearguard units protecting one of the few ships to safely make it out of the former United States, she farcasted out and prepared to make a suicidal stand to allow time for the barge to leave orbit. In a shocking turn of events, the initial TITAN combat wave was wiped out, allowing her and the remnants of her unit to retreat from the planet alive. This allowed what would become the Scum barge S.S. Terror&Sodomy to become one of the few societies outside the Jovians and Titanians with a professional military subculture.

Since her farcasted ego had skills that were actually in demand, it was immediately sleeved into the most top of the line Fury model by the nascent Planetary Consortium. Both forks would greatly contribute to stabilizing their respective societies in the post-fall chaos. Immediately afterwards, however, the Consortium helped the alpha fork file suit and successfully claim Casey's original identity. To make matters worse, a data entry error copied the location of the court case into the blank on her new last name.

Casey left the S.S. Terror&Sodomy around 3 AF citing "Shit is just getting too WEIRD" and joined the growing gatecrashing culture. After going missing for more than 6 months, her backup insurance was activated and sleeved, resulting in agent FIREBRAND. Unfortunately, several months thereafter, Casey emerged from the giant alien life form that had swallowed her, alive. Both forks declined re-merging. Casey has only been recently recruited, and unlike her two other forks, has retained her field combat edge, rather than engaging in organizational management as the other two have pursued.

Pros: . Like her forksister FIREBRAND, she combines superb networking skills with a very solid rep across multiple networks with a tremendous capacity for directed violence. Unlike agent FIREBRAND, Casey has shown a worrying resurgence of the sadism and excessive brutality she retrieved psycho treatment for in 5 PF. Never the less, she is just as capable. Expert armorer and marksman. PhD in mechanical engineering. Extremely aggressive with excellent crises management skills.

Cons: Extremely aggressive and prone to seize control in dangerous situations. Borderline sociopathic/psychopathic personality (See prefall medical/legal logs, death of second husband ruled accident, death of fourth husband ruled self defense). Difficulty forming long term relationships that are not strictly professional in nature. Tends to consider people in terms of their skills and roles in a team, rather than as individuals.

Heads up, that firearms skillsoft she helped produce is good stuff, but watch out when you're using crew served weapons. Unless you've got a synth or your biomorph is steroided to hell and back, that onehanded mag change she does is going to dislocate your shoulder like a toothpick caught in an airlock. - MORBID JOE
