Gamma Lyrae is a heavily populated system of the Vegan Republic, its main populated planet, the terran-like Sulafat Prime, was struck by a vicious plague and the UN offered military and medical assistance at the advice of Paris. While assisting on the surface, something happened which none of the Six currently recall, they woke up from cold storage aboard a heavily damaged Ainalhai, reclaimed their ship from Republic boarders and set a course into the unknown. Before they left, they saw that the space around Sulafat Prime was full of Republic and UN warships engaged in vicious battle.
Sulafat Prime was an Earth-like planet with a vast ocean and large continental landmasses that were almost completely covered in urban structures.
