GTVA Craft

GTF Apollo

Type: Space Superiority Fighter
Manufacturer: Han-Ronald Corp.
Era: Great War I

apollo.png

The Apollo is emblematic of Terran fighter pilots during the first part of the Great War, when it was exclusively a Terran-Vasudan conflict. Though heavily aged and lacking in many refinements retro-engineered from Shivan technology since then, it's still a functional craft. Many mothballed Apollos have been called back into service since the end of the second Great War, some sold to civilian contractors and others reintroduced to active GTVA duty in low-risk systems.

GTF Valkyrie

gtfvalkyrie.jpg

Type: Interceptor
Manufacturer: Han-Ronald Corp.
Era: Great War I

Less of a classic than the Apollo, the Valkyrie was nonetheless one of the heroes of the Great War. It was among the first Terran craft to engage the Shivans, but has aged poorly and is now outclassed by newer interceptors like the Perseus. Due to its well-designed sensor package and high speed, surplus Valkyries in civilian circulation are often used by system patrol crews and prospectors. It has particular civilian allure for its ability to get out of trouble quickly.

GTB Athena

Gtbathenamk2.jpg

Type: Light Bomber
Manufacturer: Dynamic Metamer
Era: Great War I

Developed prior to the Shivan attacks, the Athena was soon left in the dust, but remains a serviceable craft. While it's unable to carry the heavier anti-capital armaments now regularly used in major engagements, it's comparatively maneuverable(that is, compared to other bombers, not a Valkyrie or a Perseus), fields four primary guns, heavy armor and an incredible amount of secondary armaments. Even if it can't destroy a Shivan capital ship on its own, it can carry the weapons to destroy its subsystems and leave it crippled for others to pick off.

The Athena's post-war legacy is less glorious than many other ships. Pirate groups have snapped up a large amount and use them to threaten lightly armoured transports and civilian craft. In more peaceful hands it's often used to patrol heavy radiation zones or asteroid fields, as its heavier armor can easily deal with the environmental hazards.

Primary Weaponry: 2 double primary weapon mounts.
Compatible Primaries: Subach HL-7 Laser, Distruptor, Avenger, Flail, Leech Cannon, S-Breaker

Secondary Weaponry: Two secondary weapon mounts, 60x capacity.
Compatible Secondaries: D-Missile, Tempest, Trebuchet, Synaptic, Stiletto, Harpoon, EM Pulse, Cluster Bomb

Sensors: Detection +4(+4 to all spotting rolls, 8 point cost, Heightened Awareness), Radar 10.000km range(14 point cost, Supersense)
Subspace Drive: Intra-system(no cost).
Generator: Level 25(150 Energy, 50 point cost, Energy Bonus). Energy regen is 5 points/round.

GTF Ulysses

Gtfulysses.jpg

Type: Space Superiority Fighter/Interceptor
Manufacturer: Triton Dynamics
Era: Great War I

The while not a complete replacement for the aging Valkyrie design, the Ulysses fighter had many of the same characteristics in speed and maneuverability while being able to mount a greater variety of primary weapons and a greater volume of secondary weapons. The aspect most likely to be appreciated by pilots, however, is its ability to take more hits without suffering catastrophic hull failure. Unfortunately it also has a larger target profile, making it somewhat easier to hit. The Ulysses also served as a political statement, being the first fighter produced by both Vasudan and Terran engineers and scientists.

Primary Weaponry: 2 double primary weapon mounts.
Compatible Primaries: Subach HL-7 Laser, Disruptor, Avenger, Flail, Prometheus, Banshee, Leech Cannon, S-Breaker, Maxim

Secondary Weaponry: Two secondary weapon mounts, 30x capacity.

GTF Hercules

Gtfhercules.jpg

Type: Space Superiority Fighter/Heavy Assault

The fighter that most will remember when thinking back to the Great War. It maneuvers like a brick, but is also about as solid as one and can bring a staggering total of six primary weapons to bear on any target.

GTB Medusa

Gtbmedusa.jpg

Type: Heavy Bomber
Manufacturer: Han-Ronald Corp.
Era: Great War I

The first true dedicated bomber employed by the GTA, even heavier and slower than the GTB Athena, and with only half the primary weapon mounts, the Medusa was nonetheless an important part of the GTVA forces as it could carry anti-capital ship weaponry. Some space superiority pilots also preferred the Medusa for its massive secondary banks. To make up for its atrocious flight characteristics, the Medusa is fitted with a single rear turret to harass attacking ships.

(The turret functions as a free attack with its mounted weapons on any enemies that attack the Medusa but either fail to hit or win the attack by 4 or less. The TN for the free attack is 6 for bombers, 9 for fighters and 12 for interceptors)

Primary Weaponry: One double primary weapon mount, one double primary turret mount.
Compatible Primaries: Subach HL-7 Laser, Distruptor, Avenger, Flail, Leech Cannon, S-Breaker, Maxim, Prometheus

Secondary Weaponry: Three secondary weapon mounts, 60x capacity, 60x capacity, 30x capacity.
