Tetsu-Gen was a major pre-Fall Japanese corporation with branches in multiple industries including electronics design, data security, nanotech, AI programming, egocasting, robitics and corporate security. Tetsu-Gen fared poorly during the Fall, losing its entire board of directors as well as many of its Earth-based assets, but large portions of the corporation survived on Mars or in Lunar orbit and many of its staff - mostly those who managed near its surviving headquarters - managed to cast out to safety.
With the Fall and disappearance of much of its leadership, most of Tetsu-Gen's assets broke into smaller hypercorps, most of which were assimilated into Go-nin, Invatch and the Lucky Star group. The core of the company survives today as the hypercorp Yoshi-Gen.

Hello,
While you were on Sunrise I completed your report. I have attached all the details, but to summarise:
As you know, Retrotainment specialises in scouting infugee talent for Experia and its associates. In the weeks leading up to your contract, interest was taken in resurrecting the pre-Fall vid series Lovecraft Academy. As many of its actors went missing during the Fall, though, Retrotainment was contracted to track them down.
You were placed on our list due to the fan following you had drawn in your role as Jessica Soo-Bong in seasons 6-7 and the spinoff Kaidan Gakuen: A Ghost School Story.
Research turned up only distant relatives at first, but records showed that your immediate family worked for Tetsu-Gen in the Kantō region, and evidence confirmed members of your family had egocasted offworld through them during the Fall. Thus, Retrotainment contacted several hypercorps which had acquired Tetsu-Gen assets. Though at first all denied having any Nagasakus on file, Yoshi-Gen contacted us two days later, having found your ego in cold storage.
Retrotainment and Experia compensated Yoshi-Gen handsomely for the release of your ego, whereupon you were offered a reasonable work contract to continue playing Jessica Soo-Bong in exchange for a new morph.
All records we have are attached. Unfortunately, Yoshi-Gen plays its cards close to its chest; we got the bare minimum of required data, and no information on the rest of your family. If you want to investigate yourself, Yoshi-Gen has offices in Elysium and can be contacted directly here.
Good luck!

Hey there,
You were right. Yoshi-Gen is secretive as hell. It's definitely a small virtual outfit or it wouldn't be able to manage its data footprint so effectively. It helps that they used to be based in the LLA and still do a lot of work there. Still, hypercorps can't be totally private, and most known information seems to be correct - its remaining focus appears to be data security, mesh services and data-mining. Most of its work is handled by infos, probably indentures, so we're looking at either a hard-wired simulspace cut off from the mesh or one with a secure as hell network and infos with restricted access.
I did find something odd, though - when they started up Yoshi-Gen picked up indentures the usual way - like they'd already used up their private stash. I was wondering why they needed new egos so soon, so I dug deeper, and I'm pretty sure their private stash is being sold off.
Most of them have gone to the Morningstar Constellation, Extropia and a few other interests. Yoshi-Gen has dealt with almost nobody on Mars except when they traded you to Experia. Hardly anyone in the entire Consortium, for that matter.
Don't worry, I know just the right outfit for this. You don't mind reclaimers, right?

Hi Haruhi,
Here is the summary of our efforts to track down your close family so far.
Hitomi Nagasaku (mother): FOUND. In cold storage on Luna.
Shigeru Nagasaku (father): NOT FOUND. Predicted 80% possibility that infugee remains with Yoshi-Gen. Unable to verify.
Kazuya Nagasaku (elder brother): FOUND. Ego in possession of the ID Crew, according to detailed investigation.
Yuuta Nagasaku (younger brother): FOUND. Received a morph from the Morningstar Constellation after serving indenture. Has been living on Aphrodite Prime as a female splicer since 8.5 AF. Was pleased to hear you are okay and has initiated contact.
As for the discussed payment: Since we found nada on your dad, we won't charge for that. As for Kazuya… We can , hit me up and we can talk about what PastFinders can do.
Cheers,
Eckardt, PastFinders

Listen, you'll probably hear this once you talk to the dude, but I asked Kaz a few Qs on the way out and he rattled his voice-box about where he's been. He wanted me to advance you this: apparently while he was being trafficked around he remembers passing through Little Shanghai. If I had to guess, I'd say you were right about him making it to Mars - that's about where our trail started.
Oh yeah, and personal opinion: Kaz seems fine, but check him in with a therapist anyway, will you?
