Otto Klayman was born in █████████ on Mars, to American parents who worked as scientists on Olympus Mons. Otto himself was apparently extremely interested in science at a young age, though most details on his childhood are only found on his blog. Otto moved to Valles-New Shanghai during his teenage years, apparently because he found the terraforming efforts fascinating, and began studying Chemistry at ██████ University at 15. Since then he has studied at most major universities on Mars at one time or another, notably attaining a Ph.D in Nanotechnology from ██████████ Institute in Noctis-Qianjiao at age 23.

Otto appears to be driven by an intense curiosity about the universe and how it works. He currently maintains several science blogs aimed at discussing how "awesome" science is which are fairly popular on the r-net, especially on Mars. He identifies as an Argonaut and promotes open source models of production, though this comes up infrequently on his regular blogs. He does, however, write more activist material on the @-net under the alias "████████". These sentiments seem to have developed several years ago while studying Astrophysics at ███████████████████ on Titan. Klayman is a strong proponent of the open source movement has been known to release private records, schematics, pirated software etc. to the @-net if he can get away with it. Ozma monitoring resources have been allocated appropriately.

Initially, Klayman was discovered by Operative ██████ █████████. Once she flagged him for recruitment on the basis of his academic knowledge, social skills and experience in hard sciences, his alias on the @-net was found to be used as blackmail material. However, Operative ████████ suggested "just asking the guy. Have you read his blogs? This stuff is awesome". Klayman volunteered to assist Project Ozma for the chance to see some new things, access to lab resources and the occasional piece of data he can distribute to the @-net.

Outside academic pursuits, Klayman's hobby seems to be partying. As near as anyone can tell, Otto currently lives in Elysium so a good time is easier to find. Current computer models predict that if Otto spent as much time on his research as he has picking up women he would have made major advances in the field of nanotechnology by now. He is at times alarmingly indiscriminate in his tastes.

Klayman maintains several friends and contacts, primarily old research associates and hypercorp employees, who may be called on for assistance; this has been cleared by ███████ ██████ provided they do not discover his connections to Ozma. In the event of a clearance breach, they are to be recruited or have their memories altered. So far, unsurprisingly, most of these contacts are female.
